This Is My December
Issue 009 (beta) - 3 December 2024
Hey there gamer,
Meck here. And it’s already December? Time sure flies.
Over at Gamer Matters we’re just as busy as ever. Between a trip to an esports hotel (yes, that’s a thing. Check out our Instagram, which is also a thing) and preparing for the annual Gamer Malaya and Gamer Matters Game Of The Year Awards, there is just so many things going behind the scenes right now as we wrap up 2024.
Doesn’t mean there isn’t any new games coming out.
Infinity Nikki
New Games Of December 2024
December is usually heavy at the top when it comes to game releases, who releases new games on Christmas day? So here’s some staff picks for what you should have on your radar.
5 December - Fantasian Neo Dimension - JRPG by none other by the Gooch himself, previously an Apple Arcade exclusive and is now available on all platforms
5 December - Infinity Nikki - Coming from a long line of free-to-play mobile game series, this “ultimate cosy game” has platforming, an open world, plenty of dresses to dress-up the titular Nikki, all in a free-to-play experience.
5 December - Delta Force - Free-to-play first-person shooter for tactical shooter fans, published in Southeast Asia, Central and South America and other select regions by Garena.
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle
6 December - Marvel Rivals - Free-to-play “super hero team-based 6v6 PVP shooter” featuring Marvel’s mightiest heroes and villains and hopefully a better hero-shooter than that one high-profile game that lasted for two weeks.
6 December - Path Of Exile 2 (Early Access)- The next free-to-play ARPG by Grinding Gear Games that will tickle that specific Diablo itch, though the game isn’t done yet it will ship with a full-on endgame because they know that’s when the real game starts.
9 December - Indiana Jones And The Great Circle - A new big Indy game featuring a globe-trotting adventure across the world but likely not to Indiana which does have a great circle if you ask race fans. Stay tuned for this one, we’ll have a review on it soon!
Stellar Blade
Game Reviews
Every new issue, we’ll share links to recent reviews from the past week. And maybe some from the past years.
Here’s what we have for this week:
2B or not 2B? That is the question we tried to answer on Stellar Blade’s Nier Automata DLC.
A review of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, one month later.
If you haven’t checked this out yet, here are cool games we saw at Indie Jam 2024. Shout out to The Magic Rain for putting our logo on the same image with Five Guys.
Not a review, but one mystery link… it’s not going where you think.
And you’re all caught up! Thanks again for reading or skimming through. The fact that this gets open is already a big deal. But it helps us a lot if you can click through any of those links.
